In the name of God, Amen.
I William M. Freeman of Casanova Va. being of sound mind & memory, do make publish &
declare this to be my last will and testament.
Item first- I direct the payment of all my just debts & funeral expenses.
Item second- All the balance of my property of which I may die seized & possessed, of
whatever kind real personal or mixed. I will devise & bequeath as follows.
To Mary F. Smith all my personal property & money in bank.
To Nelly Payne McDonald & my brother Ernest Lee Freeman all my real estate to be divided
equally between them.
I appoint Mrs. Mary F. Smith executor of my last will & request that she be required to give
no bond.
Witness my hand this the 21st day of September 1917.

Clerk Office of Fauquier Circuit Court, 15 October 1917.
A paper writing, dated 21, September 1917, purporting to be the last will and testament of
William M. Freeman deceased, was produced before the clerk of said county for probate,
and C. F. Smith one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, was sworn and testified that the
said testator signed and acknowledged said proper writing to be the last will and testament in
his presence and in the present of D. K. Berry the other subscribing witness thereto, they
being together at the same time in the presence of the testator, whereupon said paper writing
is order to be recorded as and for the true last will and testament of William M. Freeman
deceased.
And on motion of Mary F. Smith the executor named in said will, who made oath as the law
requires, and interred into and acknowledged bond before said clerk in the penalty of
eighteen hundred dollars, payable and conditional according to law, but without security.
The testator having requested in said will that none be required of her, certificate is granted
her the said Mary F. Smith for obtaining probate of said will in due form.
