Funeral Services for Martin Henry
Freeman, who died Thursday,
November 6, were held from the
Baptist Church in Jeffersonton on
Saturday, with Rev. Mr. Burns, of the
Presbyterian Church in Warrenton,
officiating, interment was in the church
cemetery.
Mr. Freeman was born in 1864 and
spent his entire life of nearly 83 years
in Lakota community, where he was
beloved by a large circle of relatives
and friends. He was never married.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Robert
E. Harris and Mrs. Anna L. Olinger, of
Lakota, and a brother, Ernest Freeman
of Remington, and a number of nieces
and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers were
Mayburn Embery,Cregee Cornwell,
Charles and Bill Roberson, and Merle
and Foster Cornwell. A number of
close friends carried the beautiful
flowers.
